MAIKE LIEKWEG JOHNSON

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Maike was born and raised in Germany and studied business, economics and political science at the University of Mannheim, Germany. She obtained her MBA at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. And now makes Minnesota her home.

Maike’s experience ranges from military product development; to business and marketing consulting; to managing and growing international businesses.

She has volunteered as mounted patrol for the Minnesota park system, was a firefighter and first medical responder.

Maike’s primary focus is how to best provide support and assistance to help grow our franchisee’s business. Her goal is to build a true Snaggle Foot community, with open and direct communications within our community, and transparent actions from the Home Office.

OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

MICHEAL JOHNSON

VP OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

A Minnesota native, Micheal attended the University of Minnesota and served in the Army National Guard for 8 years.

As an Electronics Technician, he experienced a wide range of technology, ranging from consumer electronics to business computer systems, and consultant for a national IT consulting firm.

When he settled into Snaggle Foot, we asked him what we can do for the franchisees,  and he replied “A lot!” Since then, we’ve created strong support programs, implemented new technology tools for marketing, education and business management, and established consistent, ongoing communications with the network.

You’ll interact with Micheal during the franchise exploration process, as well as contractual requirements, onboarding training, and regular business health check ups.

ANIMAL BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST

Suzanne Grindle

SUZANNE GRINDLE

CANINE BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST

In addition to her full-time work as a Life Sciences and Biotechnology Patent Analyst, Suzanne lends her considerable gifts to our team as our canine behavior specialist.
 
For many years, she has worked in leadership roles with rescue organizations, and has assisted in the placement of more than 1,000 dogs. One of Suzanne’s main responsibilities is to quickly asses the personality of the shelter dogs and match them to their foster family; train, communicate and resolve issues that foster families might have, and select and recommend permanent families at the adoption events.
 
For Snaggle Foot, you’ll find her applying her expertise to:
  • Training and educating new franchise owners on general dog behavior, including  how to read and interpret body cues, and how to deal with challenging situations to create a safe environment for both the dog and the Pet Care Specialist;
  • Guiding and advising the development of Snaggle Foot Academy courses including Canine Fundamentals, Senior Canine Care, and Canine Handling;
  • Being a resource for franchisees, providing advice and guidance on how to best deal with a challenging dog situation.

With all her expertise and experience, what really shines through is Suzanne’s love for animals, and her desire to ensure they are listened to, respected, properly cared for, and well-loved.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

SARAH DONNELL

VP MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Sarah earned her degree in marketing in Madison, WI and has worked in communications for nearly 30 years.

Over the course of her career, she has worked as both a client and in an agency. She has deep experience in advertising (Berkley, Abu Garcia, NRA), franchising (Great Clips for hair, Jiffy Lube, Hardees), loyalty marketing (Delta Airlines, Chemical Bank, Tupperware), comprehensive communications, and enthusiast marketing. Her work has spanned large, enterprise businesses, and small, mom-and-pop start-ups. She has experience in travel, finance, hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, and beauty.

Sarah truly enjoys helping businesses and individuals with their marketing and communications. And applies her personal experience of small business ownership to the understanding of what works and what it takes to succeed.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

JANA REWEY HUFFMAN

VP LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Jana Rewey Huffman has more than 15 years of experience in marketing strategy on the corporate side, as well as a strong foundation in educational development. She’s led the creation of many internal and external training programs, and is also an adjunct professor at the University of North Dakota, teaching courses in Content Marketing and Brand Strategy.

Jana has led the development of curriculum and production of courses, and launched our very own Snaggle Foot Academy. This highly strategic initiative makes it possible for our staff to pursue a career pathway leading to ultimate franchise ownership – should they choose. Snaggle Foot Academy has been a passion project for her, as she  has a heart for dogs and teaching.

Jana is a native Minnesotan, and an avid outdoors woman.

WEB & IT MANAGEMENT

RICHARD DONNELL

MANAGER WEB & IT SERVICES

Rick has more than 15 years experience in developing websites and managing IT and web services. His focus is on technology and design. 

Rick’s experience ranges from standard, information-based websites to E-Commerce and custom sites. Computers have always been a passion of his, and he is constantly on the lookout for ways technology can improve business and processes. 

Rick is responsible for managing all web-related services and establishing franchisees with proper communications tools.
